DO I NEED A CAD FILE TO GET A QUOTE?

While a CAD file is the best starting point for an accurate quote, it isn’t always required. We can often evaluate a project using detailed drawings, sketches, photographs, measurements, or even an existing sample part.
Providing as much information as possible helps us better understand your project and recommend the most efficient manufacturing approach. If additional information is needed, we’ll work with you to gather the details before production begins.
WHAT CAD FILE FORMATS DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept many of the industry’s most common CAD file formats, including STEP (.stp/.step), IGES (.igs/.iges), Parasolid (.x_t), SolidWorks®, Fusion®, and several other neutral file formats.
Whenever possible, we recommend submitting a STEP file because it preserves solid geometry while remaining compatible with most modern CAD and CAM software.
If you’re unsure whether your file is compatible, simply send it to us and we’ll review it.
CAN YOU WORK FROM A PDF DRAWING?
Yes.
Many projects can be quoted and manufactured directly from a properly detailed PDF drawing. A drawing should include all critical dimensions, tolerances, hole sizes, thread specifications, material requirements, and any finishing instructions.
